Detailed introduction:

With the help of camshaft, high-pressure fuel pump drives the reciprocating motion of plunger in sleeve to supply fuel to injector. The cylindrical surface of plunger is machined with interconnected chute and straight slot and the axial straight slot leads to the top of plunger. The upper part of sleeve is drilled with two oil inlets. When plunger moves down to the place that two oil inlets over the top of plunger, low-pressure oil goes into pump chamber from oil inlets; when plunger moves upward, a part of oil in pump chamber will outflow from two oil inlets; when plunger moves up to the place that the top of plunger seals these two oil inlets, it will end oiling into pump chamber. Right now, pump chamber is an enclosed cavity. Plunger will continue to lift and oil pressure in chamber will increase dramatically. When it is high enough to overcome the spring pressure of outlet valve, outlet valve will open and high-pressure oil will supplied to injector through high-pressure pipe.

When plunger moves up to the place that chute connects with oil inlets, oil in pump chamber will outflow to low-pressure chamber and pressure in pump chamber will drop rapidly. Outlet valve will close immediately under the function of spring and fuel-injection pump will also stop fuel supply soon.
